Free Grocery Programs & Food Banks

Northwest Harvest’s SODO Community Market 
Address: 1915 4th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134 (Near 4th Ave S & S Holgate St) 
Services: A no-cost grocery store setup providing fresh, healthy food 
Hours: Monday (1:30 PM – 7:30 PM), Wednesday & Friday (8:00 AM – 2:00 PM) 

Ballard Food Bank 
Address: 1400 Leary Way NW, Seattle, WA 98107 
Services: Free groceries, clothing bank access, and resource navigation. 
Hours: Monday & Thursday (10:00 AM – 6:45 PM), Tuesday (10:00 AM – 6:45 PM), Wednesday (10:00 AM – 1:45 PM). 

Byrd Barr Place ("The Market") 
Address: 722 18th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122 
Services: Free healthy foods and home non-grocery essentials. 
Hours: Tuesday (11:00 AM – 4:00 PM), Wednesday (12:00 PM – 4:00 PM), Thursday (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM). 

West Seattle Food Bank
Address: 3419 SW Morgan St., Seattle, WA 98126
Services: Free Groceries
Hours: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 10 AM- 2 PM; Wednesday 12 PM- 7 PM

Hope Link Food Markets
Hopelink’s Food Program operates five (5) food markets with locations in Bellevue, Redmond, Shoreline, Kirkland, and Carnation. At no cost, clients can shop at the market as they would in a typical grocery store by choosing the items that best fit their household needs.

Community Lunch on Capitol Hill
Address: 509 10th Ave E, Seattle, WA 98102 
Hours: Monday through Friday. Free coffee/breakfast from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM; free lunch from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM.  

Seattle Community Dinner
Address: Cafe Red, 7148 Martin Luther King Jr Way S, Seattle, WA 98118 (Directly across from the Othello Light Rail Station) 
Hours: Every Saturday, 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM. 
Services: Meatless hot meals, free and open to anyone who asks.  

Hygiene, Clothing & Basic Needs  

Immanuel Community Services Hygiene Center 
Address: 1215 Thomas St, Seattle, WA 98109 
Services: Provides a safe day-center for adults to take showers, use industrial laundry machines, and access basic toiletries (razors, soap, toothbrushes). 
Hours: Monday-Friday 8 AM-2 PM

The Clothesline (West Seattle Food Bank)

Services: Free clothing bank providing new and like-new apparel for adults.
Hours: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday 10 AM- 1 PM
